3DPS LLC located in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado USA provides concept through to production services for plastic injection moulding, 3D printing and prototype part development.

Requirements

Nearly everything cut at 3DPS LLC is complex 3D geometry. 3DPS LLC were looking for a powerful CAM system that could handle the many issues related to cutting inside, sometimes deep 3D geometry. They needed the ability to rest mill with ease when successively smaller cutting tools were used via either a stock model or reference cutter. Another requirement was for the software to collision check and account for tool holders. They also wanted the ability to easily trim unneeded parts of toolpaths. Lastly, to be able to use sequences or macros instead of starting each job from scratch.

• Programming time was cut in half from what 3DPS LLC had been using before for CAM.
