NCG CAM SUPPORT & TRAINING

All of our staff have a wealth of CAM experience, having worked in the CADCAM and engineering industry for many, many years. This includes our Technical Support Team, who have actually worked on the shop-floor using CAM software on live jobs, so are able to provide an excellent back up and support service.

NCG CAM includes comprehensive online help pages for every feature. Access the Online Help by clicking of the help button on the dialogue page you are having trouble with, or the help drop-down menu on the toolbar to view the index. If you do not find the answers to your problem in any of the resources provided, feel free to contact us.


 

Training

A major consideration when investing in CADCAM is the training requirement. Each new customer is trained individually and not in a group classroom environment. The training works at the trainees' pace, ensuring that the tutorial-based course content is completed with a good degree of understanding. The courses range from entry level to advanced; custom training courses can be arranged and are typically based around the customer's real-world job.

  • Just 1 day of training is all that is usually required to get a user able to machine a real part (3-axis). 
  • An additional day is recommended to cover the 5-axis module, finer details and less used operations.

NCG CAM Operating System Compatibility:
  • Operating System: Windows 10 or higher, 64-bit or newer
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 or equivalent minimum, Intel Core i9 or equivalent recommended
  • Memory: 16GB minimum, 32GB recommended
  • Graphics Card: Dedicated graphics card
  • Disk space: 8GB
  • Screen Resolution: Minimum 1920 x 1080
  • Recommended: 3 button mouse - track pads on laptops are not ideal

Software Maintenance

NCG CAM offers perpetual licenses with an Annual Software Maintenance Contract at competitive pricing. This includes full technical support via telephone and email, all software updates including major releases and 8+ point releases of NCG CAM inbetween.

Post-processors are also supported whilst Software Maintenance is active.

Software Issues

Software quality is extremely important to us, so we are interested in your software issues whether or not you have a current maintenance contract. If you have found a problem with the software, please send as much detail as possible. The more detailed information you can provide, the faster we can look at it. 

Please provide us with the following information:
  • The full NCG CAM version number (find this in the Help > About NCG CAM);
    this is very important.
  • The operating system you are running.
  • Please send us an example file where you have seen the problem; this saves us time trying to work out how to recreate the problem. (Please note that any files sent to us, will be treated as confidential information).
